International Ulm

The former imperial city on the Danube has always been characterized by emigration and immigration. The history of the city and its inhabitants is reflected in the contemporary cityscape. Today over 38 percent of Ulm's citizens have international roots. More than half of them hold German citizenship as ethnic German repatriates or by naturalization. And even every second child born in Ulm has international roots.

In Ulm, internationality has many faces and is lived multifariously. Institutions that are particularly dedicated to the multifaceted topic of internationality are presented on the following pages.
