Exhibition: Jewish Life in Germany today

From September to December 2018, we presented the exhibition "Jewish Life in Germany today" in Ulm. It introduces the multifaceted Jewish life in present-day Germany. Moreover it shows how Jews locate themselves in society. Sometimes an identity is attributed to them that they don´t feel. In the worst case this scenario leads to prejudices and open or hidden anti-semitism. The exhibition gives visitors a better insight into today´s Jewish life in oder to counteract ignorance and prejudices.

13 panels portray young people who actively work and take part in society. In addition the exhibition takes a look at the history of Judaism in Germany. As a special local supplement an album about the life of the Jewish community in Ulm is presented.

The Exhibition was designed by the Zeitbild-Verlag. The Jewish Community Ulm, the Documentation Center Oberer Kuhberg and the Coordination Center, City of Ulm have organized the presentation and the supporting program.

Guided tours have invited you to improve your knowledge about modern Judaism in Ulm and Germany. Further information you can find here.
