Living diversity in Ulm in the one world

The Coordination Center International City of Ulm has received funding for the project "Living diversity in Ulm in the one world". The project has started in September 2018 and is funded by Engagement Global on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.

The project is based on two ideas:

  • To design a concept in order to implement anti-racism, democracy-building activities in our city. We want to encourage public schools, youth centers, educational institutions, youth welfare clubs and associations, youth organization (public and religious) as well as international associations and communities to join our network. Empowerment of the international communities is thereby an important part of the project.
  • Children and young people with or without international roots should be encouraged to embrace the diversity of our international city and be able to live in the society without racism or discrimination. They should learn how to eliminate stereotypes and be able to live in a diverse and multicultural society in a globally connected world. To achieve these goals we offer numerous workshops, lectures, trainings or games for young people. We plan to address them through the public school system, youth groups and associations or educational organizations and last but not least - international communities.

The courses described above will be held by Democracy Center Baden-Württemberg and Team meX.

Funded by Engagement Global within the framework of the Competence Centre for Local Development Cooperation on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.
